Phytic acid is a hexaphosphoric acid ester. In many plants
such as  legumes, cereals, rice and oilseeds, it serves as a storage for phosphate and ions.

In contrast to other peeling acids, phytic acid has not only one, but a total of six acid groups. 

It is a very effective peeling acid with a gentle mechanism of action

Due to its large molecular size, it acts mainly on the skin surface also suitable for sensitive skin or stimulate deep-seated effects in the epidermis, such as the inhibition of melanin production. 

-Inhibits melanin production.
-Moisturises.
-Improves skin elasticity.
-Reduces wrinkles.
-Has an indirect antioxidant effect (forms complexes with metal ions).
